INGREDIENTS
All you need to make this recipe is 1 ingredient - sausages! You can use any kind of sausages you like. I love making beef sausages, but this will work with pork, chicken, lamb, bratwurst, kielbasa etc. You could even try this method with veggie sausages. Feel free to use thick or thin sausages, but just be aware that the cooking time will vary if the sausages are thicker.
INSTRUCTIONS
Prick each sausage a few times with a knife, then place in a single layer in the air fryer basket. It’s ok if they are touching. Cook on 180C / 350F for 8 - 12 minutes, flipping the sausages halfway, until browned and cooked through. Serve immediately.
How to Tell When Sausages are Cooked
The best way to tell when your sausages are cooked is to use a meat thermometer to test the internal temperature. The safe minimum cooking temperature for sausages is 71C / 160F.
Tips for Making this Recipe
Total cooking time will vary depending on your model of air fryer, as well as how thick your sausages are. When you first cook this recipe keep a close eye on your sausages rather than set and forget.I recommend using a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the sausages has reached 71C / 160F.To clean your air fryer after cooking sausages, simply wipe out the excess oil with some paper towel, then wash as normal. You’ll want to cook your sausages in a single layer in the air fryer basket but they are fine to be touching. I can fit 6 thin sausages in my 3.2L / 3.3Q air fryer. If you need to cook more sausages you may need to cook in batches depending on how big your model is.
