This is a must try recipe when using your air fryer. Just be prepared for them to disappear just as fast as you make them!

Air Fryer bacon wrapped Jalapeño Poppers, stuffed with cream cheese

I enjoy trying our favorite recipes in the air fryer, and fall more in love with the air fryer, every time it makes a meal or in this case, a snack, faster than the oven. The bacon comes out so crispy, and clean up is SO easy! But the best part, is biting into the poppers after you’ve stuffed them with Philadelphia Cream Cheese We used to bake them for over double the time in takes to make them in the air fryer, and best of all, the kitchen doesn’t get heated from the stove.

How to make Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers

Slice each jalepeno in half, lengthwise. Fill each halve with cream cheese. Wrap each piece with either a half slice or whole slice of bacon, and secure it to the pepper by sticking a toothpick all the way through the bacon and pepper. Set the cook time to 370 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 minutes. Check your peppers after ten minutes of cooking, to see if the bacon is crisp enough for your preference. For crispier bacon, let cook for the full 12 minutes. Remove from the basket and place on a paper towel to remove any leftover bacon grease. Serve immediately.

Why make jalapeño poppers in the air fryer?

Using the air fryer instead of the oven, not only makes them faster, but makes clean up easier, and the bacon is crispier.

Can I make air fryer jalapeño poppers ahead of time?

Absolutely! You can do all of the prep work, such as cutting, stuffing, and wrapping the peppers the night before you cook them. Keep them wrapped in saran wrap and refrigerated until you are ready to prepare them. Because they taste best fresh and crisp, save the cooking until you are going to eat them.

Should you use parchment paper or spray in the basket?

When making jalapeño poppers in the air fryer, I did not use parchment paper or a spray. The grease drained below, so the jalapeños were nice and crispy, along with the bacon.

Does bacon splatter in the air fryer?

No! The best part of making these jalapeño poppers in the air fryer is that you don’t have to deal with splattering bacon grease! It drains directly to the bottom of the basket, away from the poppers. MORE AIR FRYER RECIPES:
