Valentine’s Treats
I love Valentine’s Day! And not just because it’s the holiday of love but because the treats are so scrumptious and cute!! Plus, the food is full of my favorite ingredients! You can’t beat chocolate, strawberries, raspberries, cakes, cookies and delicious white frostings! Go ahead and toss on some sprinkles and you have yourself a themed Valentine’s treat! This post has them all and will give you SO many options to choose from! Whether you need something for a school party or a romantic dessert, you’ll find something delicious! I have rounded up some of the BEST Valentine’s treats! They range from something simple that you can make at home with your kids like these 3 ingredient cookies. Or, you can try out something that takes a little more more time and love like this absolutely stunning and delicious Black Forest Cake. I also love to make a bunch of different types of festive cookies and put them together on a tray as an after school, festive snack! Really, it’s wide open for you to pick something that best fits you! There are 50 options so start looking through them all! The hardest part is going to be picking which one (or one’s!) that you are going to make!
Room temperature ingredients: Try to remember to set out your ingredients a few hours before you plan on baking with them. When you bake with room temperature ingredients, everything mixes better! You will get a smooth finish with your batter and frosting and then your treats will look and taste professional!Toppings: I like to buy a few holiday themed candies at the beginning of each season and keep them on hand. Then, I can add in sprinkles or holiday m&m’s to any dish and it suddenly looks more festive! That way, I don’t have to run to the store for little details like these! And details will make all the difference in your Valentine’s treats!Don’t open the oven: Keeping the oven door closed and just using the light is the way to go! If you open and close your oven during baking, then you let out all of the heat! This results in uneven baking and your baking time will change. Use the light to check on anything!
